eFootball Mobile System requirements

With the eFootball Mobile set to undergo a big change soon, lots of people have been asking about the eFootball Mobile System requirements.

eFootball Mobile is one of the top games right now where Android/iOS is concerned. As a result, the eFootball 2023 Mobile update is a big deal. Not just for me but for a host of other gamers as well.

Update: eFootball 2024 mobile is live. For more info, see here.

This new update has brought with it a lot of questions from gamers. One question that has stood out is the system requirements required to run eFootball 2023 Mobile.

Why is eFootball not supported on your phone?

eFootball 2023 system requirements

On Konami’s website, it is written that the game would run on any device with a minimum of:

  • Android 7.0
  • 2GB RAM
  • Quad-core SoC
  • 1.5GHz clock speed
  • 3.3GB storage space

On the surface, these specs look fair but also really low. Besides, those who know how smartphone specs work will tell you that these specs are meaningless.

Talking about core counts or clock speed without tying them to actual real-world SoCs would be an issue. After giving it a lot of thought, I began to doubt if devices with such specs can even play the game.

My little experiment

So I got two entry-level phones that met these requirements. One of them had a MediaTek MT6580A (Quad-core) processor with 2GB RAM. The other one had a Snapdragon 425 (Quad-core) processor with 2GB of RAM. Both phones had Android 9.0 software. I then tried to install and run the eFootball 2022 on them.

MT6580A specs

  • CPU: ARM Cortex A7 (Quad-core)
  • GPU: ARM Mali 400MP2
  • Clock speed: 1.3GHz

Snapdragon 425 specs

  • CPU: ARM Cortex A53 (Quad-core)
  • GPU: Adreno 300
  • Clock speed: 1.3GHz

Both phones failed to install the game despite meeting the minimum requirements.

I decided to up the ante and got another device with MediaTek Helio G25 (Octacore) processor with 2GB RAM. This device ran on Android 10. It also failed to play the game.

After eFootball 2023 came out, I decided to put phones running Helio G35, A25, A22, P35, Snapdragon 439, Snapdragon 625, Exynos 850, etc to the test. These all failed to install the game as well despite meeting the minimum requirements.

Outcome of experiment

eFootball is a 64-bit game, so only phones with 64-bit SoCs and 64-bit operating systems can run the game.

In addition to these, the 64-bit processors must be quite capable. This is because I have seen devices with Helio G70 (ARM Cortex A75 CPUs) struggle. If in doubt, I have a list of the top 100 smartphone SoCs. Anything below 120 on that list is a huge risk. The SoCs from 1 to 120 are all 64-bit SoCs that are capable of playing eFootball mobile.

To comfortably run this game, here are the minimum specs that you’ll need:

  • An SoC with four ARM Cortex A73 or two ARM Cortex A75 CPU cores.
  • 4GB RAM and above
  • Octa-core SoC
  • The clock speed should be at or over 2GHz.
  • 5GB of storage space

So please note that Konami’s system requirements are misleading and a misrepresentation of what is needed to run such a huge game.

Suggestions

This is not 2018. Android has gotten heavier. This is also true for modern games. SoCs with A53 or A55 CPU cores are not capable of handling playing. The least specs one should look at are Octa-core SoCs with at least 4 A73 CPU cores and a decent GPU.

If you intend to game with your phone, ensure to look at the processor very closely before spending your money. This is why smartphone specs education is very very important. It could save you a lot of stress and heartache.

        1. I’m sorry. It won’t play because:

          1. Software: It uses Android Go (32-bit). eFootball only works on 64-bit Android.

          2. SoC: It uses a Helio P35. That processor is too weak.

          3. RAM: It only has 3GB

Please reread the article. Thank you and wishing you all the best.

          1. Bro which phone will to advice me to buy, thats compatible with efootball
2023… my budget is below 17k (Kenya shillings).

          2. But redmi 10c is expensive than redmi 12c?
Why yo advice me to buy 10c instead of 12c with 4gb and 128 rom? Which one is better? Do they both play th game?

          3. A simple google search would have told you. The 10c (Snapdragon 680) has a better processor when compared to the 12c (Helio G85).

I already recommended the 12c for you. You didn’t go and buy. There’s no cheaper I can think of. I don’t live in Kenya so I don’t know.

          4. Please I am planning to buy a new device since my Tecno Pouvoir 4 3GB RAM didn’t run the app.

            Can I get a Redmi 12c with 128GB storage and 6GB RAM?

            Will it run it?

            At least within 85k budget.

Samsung phones are too expensive for me right now.

  1. Hello there, good morning, am planning to get the tecno spark 8c (3gb ram version). Can it run the efootball 2023?

      1. Why?? Spark 8c has unisoc t606, 2 cortex a75, which may not be an ideal but not so bad either. In fact it can give a tough competition to g70 and g80.

        1. It should work, but I wouldn’t advice it. That’s because G37 won’t run the game at high settings. Go for Redmi 12C instead or 10C if you can afford. The Spark 10 Pro is also another good option.

Leave G37, G36, G35 phones. In the long term, you’ll thank me.

    1. You know lenovo tab e7 with 2gb ram and Android 7 can play efootball 2023 how ?? And can’t play on 3gb ram poco c3 why?

      1. Oh that’s easy. A smartphone/tablet’s power comes from it’s SoC, not it’s RAM.

The Lenovo Tab E7 uses a MediaTek MT8167 which was made for tablets exclusively. It is also optimized to run 64-bit games like eFootball.

The Poco C3 uses the Helio G35 which is:
        1. Not optimized for games
        2. Lacks a 64-bit OS

          1. Am using galaxy a13 with G52 but isn’t compatible to play This Game. What should I do?

          2. There’s 2 things you can do:

            1. Root the phone and install a 64-bit OS
            2. Sell the phone and buy a better one.

Read through comments here, since last year I’ve been telling people not to buy anything below A23.

  2. Can some Redmi 11 series phone run the game. Pro has Helio g96 with 6/128gb will be on the edge i think. If not what device u should recommend (Samsung, Xiaomi, Nokia, Motorola)?

    1. All Redmi *NOTE* 11 series devices can and will run the game very easily. These include Redmi Note 11(Snapdragon 680), Redmi Note 11S(Helio G96), Redmi Note 11 Pro(Helio G96), Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G(Snapdragon 695).

    1. Big no bro. That phone use Helio A22. If you check my list of “top 100 smartphone SoCs” (use the search box or Google it), you’ll see that A22 is very very low. It’s not strong enough for gaming.

    1. Exynos 7904 should be able to because it has two A73 CPU cores but the Exynos 7904 is old and it’s clocked really low at 1.8GHz.

I think it’ll play it though but your phone must have at least 4GBs of RAM to successfully so so.

  3. bro I need a recommendation,
    a. unisoc t612 with 3GB ram
    b. unisoc t606 with 4GB ram
which one I should go with to play efootball better?

      1. Actually, I’m in a huge dilemma as my budget is low. According to my budget, the best options I have are just these two. I really don’t know which one of these will play efootball better.

          1. not gonna use old device. These chipsets are above my budget. Though Tecno spark 7 pro with g80 is available but it released almost 2 years ago. I think I won’t get a good battery backup if I buy it.

          2. That would disqualify the T606 because it was made in November of 2019. It’s a dinosaur. The T612 is obviously the better option, the only ish is how well the game would run on 3GB.

Also remember that Unisoc SoCs notoriously lack optimization for gaming.

        1. MediaTek Helio G25 will still be unable to run the game.

I left a link to the top 100 SoCs in the world in the post. Scroll up and look for it. The G25 doesn’t even make the top 100. Too low.

          Aim higher.

    1. My mom’s vivo y12s has p35, I saw efootball was installable in it. But most likely it would struggle. P35 is older cpu for efoobtall.

      1. Vivo Y12s, Vivo Y15C and Vivo Y15S are essentially the same phone. What separates the Y15S is that it doesn’t run the full version of Android. Instead, it runs Android Go. Android Go is a 32-bit OS and lacks the bandwidth to load and process eFootball.

If not, with 4GB RAM, the P35 is capable of running eFootball at low settings fine.

    1. That would make you the exception, not the rule. One of the lucky few who is able to do so at medium to low settings.

In the end, I would never encourage anyone to buy this as a new device for gaming. It’ll end in tears.

    1. Yes and yes. Although I’ll lean more towards the SG Note 10 because it is a flagship that can run the game at max graphics + 60fps. The SG A32 on the other hand uses a Helio G80 and will struggle from time to time.

    1. Vivo X70 plus uses Snapdragon 652 with an Octa-core (4×1.8 GHz Cortex-A72 & 4×1.4 GHz Cortex-A53) set up with an Adreno 510.

If your phone has up to 4GB and the operating system kernel is 64-bit then it is very possible that the game should run.

    1. I think that the Samsung A04 might support the game due to the Helio P35 on board but the A04s might not due to the Exynos 850.

There’s the issue of the Samsung Galaxy M13 5G that doesn’t support the game despite the fact that it use MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G processor. This is because Samsung used a 32-bit Android OS on the phone to disable it’s 64-bit capability. Personally I’d steer off Samsung’s low end phones.

  4. Hey Jeffrey. I think another best way to know your device if support efootball23 try to download from play store. It’s true??

    1. It’s sort of like medicine after death. The aim of being able to know if a phone supports eFootball is to check before buying, not after. So it’s true but it’s not very good.

Imagine after buying, you find out that it doesn’t run eFootball, what do you do then?

      1. For there am try to say if you try to download efootball23 from playstore if your phone doesn’t support will be say “this app won’t work on your device” if your device support does not see short notice??

        1. I understand what you mean. If the device doesn’t support the game, then PlayStore would usually tell you so. Yes, but the idea is people want to know before buying, not after buying.

    1. To be very honest, I don’t know because I don’t know the processor or GPU inside that phone. It’s a cheap iphone clone and these clones usually use MT6580 which is useless for anything outside calls and SMS.

I would strongly advise that you stay away from these phones.

  5. Yo man i appreciate this post. My question is whether helio g88 can run efootball and whether the helio g96 run it well at max settings.

    1. A Helio G88 phone can and will run eFootball at medium settings, provided it is paired with at least 4GB RAM and a 64-bit Android Operating system.

A Helio G96 phone can run eFootball at high settings but you’ll encounter frame rate drops and some heating from time to time. For best results, go with Dimensity 800 and above or Snapdragon 695 and above.

      1. Sorry to disturb again. My budget is a bit tight rn so should I go for redmi 12c with 6 gb ram Or the recently launched narzo n55 with 6gb ram. Both are around the same price range.

  6. Pls can Infinix hot30i play the game..? Have tried downloading it.but at 96% it will say could not download

    1. Well theoretically, the A13 should run eFootball but there’s a big problem. It uses a 32-bit operating system. eFootball is a 64-bit game and is too big to run on that operating system hence the incompatibility.

  7. What about infinix hot 30? Will it play? I’ve been thinking about getting it over the Redmi note 12 since I’ve seen a lot of complains about the RN12 and I really don’t have the strength with Raya anymore after a previous bad experience.

If there’s no marginal difference between both, would you recommend I get the infinix? I love their after sales a lot

      1. Please recommend an Android phone for me,
That is able to handle e football smoothly
Between the range of 80,000 to 90,000.

        1. In your budget
          Redmi 12C (4/128GB)

Slightly above your budget but better
          Redmi 10C (4/64GB)

Over your budget but just for reference
          Spark 10 Pro (8/128GB)
          Camon 20 (8/128GB)

    1. Does your Tecno Pouvoir 3 plus have 64-bit Android Operating system? It might work. Perfectly? No. You’ll have to play at low settings. Why is that? Weak processor (MT6739).

To know the ability of your processor, type into Google, Top 100 Smartphone SoCs. You’ll find the MT6739 near the bottom.

  8. Sorry last question I read the article. What about MIUI (operating system) on Xiaomi. Is that fine. I’m planning on buying a phone.

    1. Nah bro. Feel free to come back anytime. That’s why I opened the blog and pay a lot of money to keep it alive.

The problem with MIUI is that they don’t indicate it on the software. But this is the takeaway. Xiaomi has different sets of phones from flagship to entry level. The ones you should avoid are the entry level devices.

      These include:

Redmi 9A, 9C, 10A, Redmi A2+ etc. Any phone below (cheaper than) the 12C must be avoided at all costs.

    1. Next time use the magic word, please or I’ll not reply you.

Yes the 9T will play eFootball.

The Redmi 12c is around that price is also capable. Just avoid the 3GB RAM version. eFootball needs 4GB to run well.

  9. Hey bro, I want to buy a good gaming phone that will run perfectly for me below 180k naira. I don’t care about good graphics, all I need is to play online game or friend match anytime.

This is because my Gionee M7 is not good for gaming. I have to wait until midnight to play smoothly. I need another change for this phone because my passes are not connecting in time if I’m playing online. However, the passes are quick and good when I am playing an Al match with the computer. Please can you tell me why? I especially need my passes to be quicker and faster and I want my players to take action immediately I command them to. I also want a phone for a 4g network.

I browse phones for efootball anywhere, please I need your assistance should I go for a Snapdragon phone or iPhone? I want to buy the Redmi Note 12 pro but I also want to buy the iPhone X Max, I’m confused right now please I need your assistance or is there any other good phone that you can suggest for me for eFootball mobile?

I heard many people say snapdragon is better for gaming, please which processor is best for eFootball mobile? That’s my question. which processor can handle my passes quickly in online matches like I’m playing with the computer not like my Gionee m7 phone players not responding on time when playing online matches I have to wait until midnight to play this game smoothly but not as smoothly as I wanted and I love the game, please I need your assistance.

I don’t care about other games I only care about eFootball 2024 which processor is best for eFootball sir.

But is the snapdragon better for eFootball? I only play eFootball mobile which processor is better for eFootball mobile 180k budget or 150k?

    Thank you very much.

      1. I want to know why my gionee m7 is not playing it smoothly until midnight that’s my question ,is it because of network or my processor,if it is processor why is it playing my passes faster in the mid night but will not play faster during the day? And if is network why I’m I browsing faster and doing anything smoothly except it comes to efootball

        1. Your Gionee M7 uses a weak MediaTek Helio P30 processor. The modem that connects to the internet is an LTE Cat. 7 which doesn’t have very good internet connection strength.

Go to the top of this page, use the search bar and type LTE Categories. You’ll see a more detailed answer.

      1. I mean which one is better in terms of gaming efootball ,in terms of network and fast cpu
        Sorry for asking too much

  10. Hey I need a best gaming phone for efootball 2024 For 200k budget ,best for efootball , can I go for poco x3 pro ? I browse about the phone I don’t know if the phone is still on market
    Snapdragon 860
    2.96ghz
But if there’s any better phone for efootball I need it ,I need phones for best performance in efootball

  11. hello bro what about realme 10 , can i play efootball with high quality? and please tell me between redmi note 12 pro and realme 10 , which one do you recommend to buy?

  12. I Want To Buy A Mobile Under 9000INR
Most Preference To Redmi (Bcz I Want To Buy It From My Parents And They Trust Redmi) Which Will You Recommend Like, Poco C55,Redmi 12C Or Any Other Under 9000INR

    1. Easy

Step 1: Find the name of the SoC on the phone.
Step 2: Google the name of the SoC and look for a good site that has the specs.

If you do find one, scroll down to the connectivity section and you’ll find the info there.

LTE Cat 12 is more than good enough.

  13. Bro why iphones processor are better for efootball while there processor is hexa core and android are octa but ,why iphones are more faster in online games efootball, but why iPhone graphics are not good on the field the grass is not green like my gionee m7 why please ?

    1. Every iPhone ever made was designed as a flagship. Unlike your entry level Gionee M7. Thus they get the best of everything.

If you use a flagship Android device, you’ll get the same level of performance.

  14. Hey bro can I go for the poco x3 gt or redmi note 10 pro 5g,
Please what’s is the price of the both phones ,I want to choose between them

      1. You really helped in making decision for selecting a good gaming phone for efootball ,thanks very much ,may I please know the price of the both phones

  15. Please What about the redmi note 12 pro 5g vs redmi note 10 pro 5g in efootball because i see note 10 pro 5g has a better processor and higher 4g lte speed( 21 lte) while the RN125g is 18 lte

      1. But redmi note 10 pro 5g have higher 4g lte cat 21, why did the note 12 pro 5g is better in online games please?

        1. Have two devices in mind
Iphone or redmi just 200k budget
,but people said redmi is better because iphone heating issue
Which one should i go for, best for efootball please

  16. What i want to understand is in all redmi note phones which one is better for efootball that can handle it in high settings that will run smoothly and faster
    Thanks

  17. I Have Bought Redmi 12 4G 4/128 On Which Graphics And FPS I Should Play The Game Without Heating Issue Because I Have Faced Some Heating Issue On High Graphics

  18. My Redmi 10 2022 normally heat up when playing the game, I don’t why .
Pls can infini note 12 play the game?

    1. 1. Don’t play at high settings and 60fps. It’s either you do mid or standard settings at 60fps or high settings at 30fps

      2. Observe the weather and see if it’s hot.

      3. Check your network connections as well. If your network is weak. The phone will spend extra battery looking for network or trying to boost the poor signal.

      Cheers

  19. Ok bro just one more thing I need to know. I hope u know the tecno spark 8 pro comes in different variance. But I love the one with 4/128. I don’t want the one with 6/64 cuz of the storage space that isn’t too large. So I just want to confirm if the 4/128 version of the tecno spark 8 pro will run the game without any difficulties. Plz bro will it run the efootball 2024 smoothly without any problem. Ok bro, plz reply,
    thanks.

    1. I understand what you’re saying. The Tecno Spark 8 Pro uses a MediaTek Helio G85 processor. It’s decent to play at standard settings, 30fps but it’s not good enough for high settings, 60fps.

  20. Plz bro don’t be angry I just have one more question, between infinix hot 11 play and Tecno spark 8 pro which is better cuz one of my friend just told me he newly bought infinix hot 11 play, so that’s why I’m asking which is more better. And Plz bro if u wanna reply plz explain in full details, the difference between the two, Like the processor, this and that.

      1. Sorry bro I don’t actually know, I think it’s the Tecno spark 8 pro that’s better. Despite the hot 11 play has 1000more battery capacity than my Tecno spark 8 pro, it still uses a weak processor, thanks for the advice bro. I think u made a mistake, u said Helio G88 instead of Helio G85.

  21. Excuse me, good evening plz don’t be annoyed, I just have one question, I just try to check something in my master phone in church then tried to search for efootball 2024, guess what, I was shocked when I saw install in Google playstore . Then I tried to go to settings and check about the phone and I later discovered that it was Tecno pop 7 pro but I saw Helio A22 and was suprised. Plz how is that possible, I will be very happy if u can explain to me.

    1. The Tecno Pop 7 Pro uses a 64-bit Android OS that’s why the game is available to it. However, it’s ones thing to see the game and another to play it and play it well. It’ll struggle to play eFootball at low settings. Still won’t advise.

    1. I didn’t say it was IMPOSSIBLE. I said eFootball 2024 is a 64-bit game and requires 64-bit hardware and software to run. Helio G85 is 64-bit hardware but according to GSMArena, the device uses Android Go (32-bit). I think we both know that it’s not working, if not you wouldn’t be here.

  22. It’s not that I’m trying to doscriminate you but it’s not Android Go cuz I’ve searched for it but couldn’t see it . and there was one thing I noticed which was the first time I entered the game I try to check the graphics settings, when I checked, it was already at standard + 30fps and when playing the game there was no lag or stress at all, it was looking so smooth. So plz I want to ask if I could increase the graphics settings or I should just leave it like that , plz answer .

    1. I understand. We’re not quarreling. I agree with you. My information source was wrong.

With the Redmi 12C which I have that uses the same Helio G85 processor as yours.I tried highest graphics and 60fps, it was a terrible experience. So you have 2 options:

      1. Set graphics to standard and frames to 60fps (best results for game play)

      Or

      2. Set graphics to high and frames to 30fps (players go dey skip sha).

      I choose 1.

    1. Because it cannot work. Did you read the article at all?
      1. The Redmi A2+ doesn’t support 64-bit Android. Instead it’s stuck with 32-bit Android.
      2. The Helio G36 is too weak to run eFootball.

The Redmi A2+ fails on both counts. Please read the article and understand it.

  23. I tried playing efootball on Tecno spark 20 on high settings + 30 fps, it worked pretty well and I was shocked 😲😳. But couldn’t try it on 60 fps. Pls what about Redmi 13c

    1. Seeing as the Redmi 13C uses the same processor as the Tecno Spark 20 (Helio G85), I’m guessing you’ll get the same results.

With lower mid-range processors. The best you can hope for is:

      High settings + 30fps
      Or
      Standard settings + 60fps

Anything more is just asking too much.
