GalaxyCore CMOS sensors are a line of image sensors made by GalaxyCore inc.
GalaxyCore inc. is a China-based fabless image sensor company. Its main targets are global mobile devices and the consumer electronics market.
It was founded in 2003 by Lin Xin Zhao and its headquarters are located in Shanghai.
They design, develop and market high-quality and cost efficient CMOS image sensor devices. These image sensors capture optical images and convert the images into digital output signals. Their image sensors are primarily used in mobile devices. These include feature phones, smart phones, and tablets.

GalaxyCore CMOS sensors are mostly used as secondary cameras for phones. They do quite well as ultrawide, macro and depth sensors.
They are also used as main cameras in some cases, but only for entry level devices. The 13MP and 8MP are the preferred choices for most of the time.
