Hello and welcome to this highly anticipated smartphone comparison. This is the Itel P55 5G Vs. Redmi Note 13 4G. These are two lower mid-range smartphones that are sure to be on the shopping lists of a lot of people. So if you’re torn between both devices, don’t you worry, you’re in the right place. Let me help you figure this one out.
The Itel P55 5G is a lower mid-range device from Itel. It’s currently their first 5G phone and their best ever device. This is because the bulk of the company’s phones are entry level and budget offerings like the Itel S17, Itel S18, Itel A60, Itel S23 and the Itel S23+.
The Redmi Note 13 4G is also a midranger. It is a reworked Redmi Note 12 4G with better cameras and stereo speakers.
Both of these devices are lower mid-rangers. The Redmi Note 13 4G comes from a more premium brand and is priced much higher. On the other hand, Itel are breaking into this section of the market for the first time and their asking price is much fairer.
Without further ado, let’s get started.

Body
Both phones are closely matched for size with the Itel P55 5G being the slightly bigger device here. They also both have plastic frames but that’s where the similarities end. The Redmi Note 13 4G has a glass back and enjoys IP54 dust and splash protection. The Itel P55 5G has a plastic back and has no dust or moisture protection of any sort. The Redmi Note 13 4G walks away with this very easily.
Next up, let’s move on to the Display
Display
For the display, there’s no question of which one is better. The Redmi Note 13 4G has a 1080p AMOLED with 120Hz and enjoys Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The Itel P55 5G on the other hand has a much poorer 720p IPS LCD with 90Hz and enjoys no screen protection of any sort.
It would also be key to note that the Redmi Note 13 4G has the much brighter display as well. Second point (for display) easily goes to the Redmi Note 13 4G.
Next up, let’s talk performance
Performance
The performance part is where the Itel P55 5G bounces back. It has a much more superior processor (Dimensity 6080) with an even better GPU. The Redmi Note 13 4G finishes in second place with its Snapdragon 685 SoC.
For more information on the performance difference between the Dimensity 6080 vs Snapdragon 685, check out the list of the top 100 smartphone SoCs that I have made for you.
Both devices use the same LPPDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, so multitasking and file search, saving and transfer should mostly feel the same on both phones.
Thus when it comes to apps and games, the Itel P55 5G should do much better than the Redmi Note 13 4G with its Snapdragon 685. Yeah, the Itel P55 5G has gotten its first point on the board. It’s got the better performance.
Cameras and Video
Whilst the Snapdragon 685 falls short in CPU performance, it absolutely makes up for it in image processing and video encoding. When you add in the impressive 108MP Samsung HM6, the results are very good. The Redmi Note 13 4G also has a better selfie camera as well.
This is in stark contrast to the weaker cameras on the Itel P55 5G. The 50MP Hynix Hi-5021Q looks like a decent sensor but MediaTek’s algorithm isn’t going to do it a lot of favours. There’s also the matter of the weaker 8MP selfie camera in front.
TL:DR the Redmi Note 13 Pro has the better cameras. They’re both tied at 1080p video but the point firmly goes to the Redmi Note 13 4G.
Audio and Speakers
Points to the Redmi Note 13 4G for it’s stereo speakers.
Comms
The Itel P55 5G lacks an Infrared Port and NFC. I don’t care much about NFC, but you see that Infrared port. I don’t joke with it. The Redmi Note 13 4G has both. On the flip side, the Itel P55 5G has, well, 5G which the Redmi Note 13 4G lacks.
For this very reason, the point goes to the Itel P55 5G.
Battery, Charging and Battery life
Both phones use the same 5000mAh battery, however, the Redmi Note 13 4G has the faster 33W charge and the slightly better battery life.
Prices
The 6/128GB variant of the Itel P55 5G sells for 190,800 Naira while the 6/128G variant of the Redmi Note 13 4G sells for 251,800.
Decision Making Time
Both phones each have their pros and cons, and this could make it a bit difficult for intending buyers to make up their minds.
The Pros and Cons of the Itel P55 5G are:
Pros | Cons |
---|---|
Better performance | Poor display |
5G connectivity | Weaker cameras |
Faster connection | No stereo speakers |
More affordable | Slower charging |
The Pros and Cons of the Redmi Note 13 4G are:
Pros | Cons |
---|---|
Excellent display | Poorer performance |
Great cameras | Lacks 5G |
Stereo speakers | More expensive |
Faster charging | Slower network connection |
So there’s no clear winner here. Performance, 5G and affordability are a big deal for many people. But the same can also be said for having a device with a good frame, pleasing display for the eyes, good camera, sound and a decent battery life.
Regardless of whatever you choose here, I don’t think you’ll go wrong.

Thank you Chief. You’re too kind.
I plan to purchase the redmi note 13, Can it play Efootball,Pumbg, codm in low settings without lagging. I’m kind of afraid of the processor to lagg even when not playing game
Snapdragon 680 should be able to easily handle all these games at low settings without lagging.
So yeah go ahead. Ensure you get 6GB RAM variant tho
