MediaTek began from the very bottom and worked their way up little by little. It has been a very long road with a lot of setbacks but MediaTek did not stop. In the end, they made it to the top and now, we have the Dimensity 9300.

The Dimensity 9300 is MediaTek’s much-anticipated flagship SoC. It is expected to be announced soon and it promises to shake up the smartphone world. This SoC has already been benchmarked on AnTuTu and the results are wild!

MediaTek Dimensity 9300

Performance

MediaTek has big plans for this new SoC. They are aiming to outperform their competitors by utilizing 1 prime Cortex X4 and 3 other Cortex X4 cores. This should provide unprecedented processing power for smartphones. Additionally, the SoC includes 4 Cortex A720 big cores for even more performance. This is crazy and I have never seen anything like this.

What this means is that MediaTek isn’t cutting any corners when it comes to performance. They came fully prepared. This SoC already comfortably scores over 2 million points on AnTuTu 10 and over 7000 points on GeekBench 6. The Dimensity 9300 looks to be the ultimate powerhouse (at least for now).

Gaming

When it comes to gaming, this SoC is well-equipped to handle the rigors of modern gaming. The Dimensity 9300 integrates an ARM Mali G720 Immortalis (MP12). This SoC has hardware-accelerated Ray Tracing, Mesh Shading, OpenGL, and Vulkan support.

Dimensity Gaming

It also has support for both mobile and console-based games. Although it would be up to manufacturers and publishers to develop and optimize ports for their phones using SoC.

RAM and Storage

The Dimensity 9300 supports up to 24GB of next-gen LPPDR5x (9600MHz). For storage, there is support for the latest UFS 4.0. These should contribute to a very smooth and fluid user experience on any phone.

Cameras and Video

This SoC just like its predecessor, the Dimensity 9200+ supports a very generous 320MP camera resolution. For video, there is support for up to 8K video at 30fps.

Connectivity

This SoC is fully 4G and 5G compliant. It supports Cat. 24 LTE as well as sub-6GHz and mmWave 5G. Additionally, there is also support for Bluetooth 5.4, WiFi 7, and GPS.

Battery life

This SoC is built on a TSMC 4nm process. Thus the battery life on this SoC should be rather good. However, one needs to consider that the rather very powerful CPU cores on this SoC are very power-hungry so keep that in mind.

Conclusion

The Dimensity 9300 is a Flagship SoC that promises a lot of processing power for handling apps and for gaming. It also doesn’t hold back of photography, videography and connectivity.

However, with so many powerful CPU cores on this SoC, the power draw could be a possible issue. How MediaTek handles this will go a long to make or mar the success of this SoC.
