XIAOMI ANNOUNCES THE MI 11
After several weeks of teasing us on social media, Xiaomi’s new flagship for the year 2021 has been launched today to great fanfare. For this device, Xiaomi has continued with the regular naming scheme and this device is known as the MI 11.
Earlier, some news outlets and blogs had reported that Xiaomi may not include a wall charger with this device. This comes hot on the heels of Apple refusing to include a charger on the iPhone 12 lineup of phones. Today, however, Xiaomi has included a 55W charger with the MI 11. It comes in two editions, however: the standard edition ships without a charger, while the packaged edition ships with a charger. Both of them sell for the same price.
The MI line is the flagship line of the company and it has always aimed to provide a premium experience at affordable prices. Xiaomi has some of the less pricey flagships out there and the MI 11 is no different.
With that out of the way, what specs does the MI 11 come with and would it be worth it’s asking
price?
Performance
The MI 11 ships with the latest flagship offering from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 888. The 5nm Snapdragon 888 chipset which scores 745,942 points on AnTuTu is paired with 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 high-speed storage. The SD888 is a top-of-the-line mobile processor and it guarantees a premium experience.

Design & Display
The MI 11 is curved on all four edges with an aluminum frame. It also has Corning Gorilla Victus protection on both the front and back to protect against falls and scratches. The Mi 11 has a 6.81-inch curved display with a punch-hole selfie camera at the top left corner of the screen.
The display is an AMOLED panel with 2K (3200 x 1440p) resolution. It also has a 120Hz refresh rate and a 480Hz touch sampling rate. The brightness on this display goes as high as 1500 nits. It also supports Widevine and HDR10. This is the most expensive display on any phone right now and DisplayMate has awarded it an A+ rating.
