Helio G100 vs Unisoc T7250 (T615)

If you’ve been following the smartphone SoC space in recent months, you’ll notice that two names keep popping up in a lot of conversations — the Helio G100 and the Unisoc T7250. Now at first glance, this may not seem like a fair fight, but this “Helio G100 vs Unisoc T7250” matchup is one that absolutely deserves your attention.

Both chips are targeted at affordable smartphones, and both want to claim a seat at the table of your attention. However the big question remains: which one deserves your hard-earned money?

Let’s get into it.

MediaTek Helio G100

MediaTek Helio G100

The Helio G100 is a lower mid-range SoC made by MediaTek. It was launched in 2024 as the successor to the Helio G99. However, the G100 is essentially a rebranded Helio G99 with 200MP camera support and minor some efficiency tweaks. You can find it on phones like the Redmj Note 14 Pro 4G, Tecno Camon 40 Pro, Infinix Note 50 Pro etc.

Unisoc T7250

Unisoc T7250

The Unisoc T7250 is a budget SoC from Unisoc. It was quietly launched in early 2025 and has popped up on several devices such as the Redmi A5, Itel City 100 and a couple of other entry-level gaming phones in Southeast Asia and sub-Saharan Africa. What you should know is that it’s not new. It’s a rebranded Unisoc T615.

In other words, this is essentially a Helio G100 vs Unisoc T615 comparison as well.

CPU Performance

This is where the Helio G100 flexes its muscles. With two Cortex A76 cores clocked at 2.2GHz, it easily outperforms the Unisoc T7250’s older Cortex A75s. It’s not just about age here — the A76s CPUs are better at task handling, more power-efficient, and offer significantly higher IPC (Instructions per cycle). This gives the G100 a noticeable lead in daily use and multitasking.

Winner: Helio G100

GPU & Gaming

The G100 uses a Mali-G57 MC2 while the T7250 settles for a single-core Mali-G57 MP1. That second GPU core on the G100 matters. It can handle more graphical load and provide smoother frame rates, especially in mid-tier games like PUBG Mobile Lite, Free Fire Max, and eFootball.

Don’t get it twisted though — neither of these chips is a gaming monster, but between the two, the Helio G100 is clearly the better performer.

Winner: Helio G100

Benchmarks

If you’re a fan of synthetic tests, the numbers tell the story. The Helio G100 scores around 412k on AnTuTu 10, while the T7250 hovers around 258k. Geekbench scores tell a similar story with a 300+ point gap in single-core and a 600+ point lead in multi-core.

So whether it’s raw CPU power or gaming efficiency, the G100 is consistently ahead.

Winner: Helio G100

RAM & Storage

Both SoCs support UFS 2.2 storage, which is good news for app loading and multitasking. The G100 does have better RAM support though — running at 2133MHz versus 1866MHz on the T7250. It’s a small win, but a win nonetheless.

Winner: Helio G100

Display Support

This one is very straightforward. The Helio G100 supports 1080p resolution at up to 120Hz while the T7250 is capped at 60Hz. That means smoother scrolling and animations on G100-powered phones, provided the manufacturer activates it.

Winner: Helio G100

Camera & Video

The Unisoc T7250 supports up to 108MP cameras whilst the Helio G100 almost doubles that by doing up to 200MP cameras which sounds impressive on paper. For video, however, the T7250 can do 1080p at 60fps, while the G100 supports only up to 2K (1440p) at 30fps. That said, the G100’s ISP is also better tuned for processing higher resolution images.

Again, the Helio G100 easily wins this one.

Verdict: Helio G100

Connectivity

Both processors support WiFi 5 and 4G LTE, but the G100 supports faster download speeds and a faster Bluetooth 5.4. They both support VoLTE and VoWiFi.

Verdict: Helio G100

Helio G100 vs Unisoc T7250 Final Verdict – Which one should you go for?

If we tally everything up, it’s pretty obvious who takes the crown in the Helio G100 vs Unisoc T7250 matchup.

The Helio G100 is the more powerful chip across the board — it has better CPU cores, a faster GPU, superior RAM and display support, and it’s built on a more efficient 6nm process.

The Unisoc T7250, while not bad, is simply outgunned here. It’s an aging chip in a new box, and while it performs decently for casual use, it’s not built to stand up to more modern rivals.

So if you’re choosing between a G100 phone and a T7250 phone, go with the G100. Just make sure you’re not overpaying — remember, this is still a budget chip.

TL;DR:

  • CPU: G100 wins
  • GPU: G100 wins
  • RAM/Storage: G100 wins
  • Display: G100 wins
  • Camera/Video: G100
  • Connectivity: G100
  • Overall winner: Helio G100
