Hello and good day to you and yours. Today, we’re taking a look at two budget processors from Unisoc. This is the Unisoc T7250 vs Unisoc T7200.
At this point, it’s clear that Unisoc is no longer playing around. They’re releasing SoCs like hot akara, and now we’re seeing direct sequels and improvements within short windows of time. But how do they compare? And is the newer one really worth it? Let’s find out.
The Unisoc T7250 is a budget SoC that was announced in 2024. It is not a brand-new chip, but a rebranded Unisoc T615, itself a refinement of the T612. There is no official “T7260” successor yet, but the T7250 is already showing up in 2024 entry-level phones like the Itel City 100 and the Redmi A5 4G.
The Unisoc T7200, on the other hand, is a 2025 SoC that most people will know better as the Unisoc T606. That’s the name it wore proudly as it powered budget warriors like the Itel S23, P40+, and the Spark 10c. It has no direct successor, but has quietly slipped into older entry-level phones since 2022.

CPU Performance
Both chips use the same CPU layout—2 Cortex A75s for performance and 6 Cortex A55s for efficiency—but the T7250 has a clear advantage with its higher CPU clock speeds. The Cortex A75 cores run at 2.0GHz, compared to just 1.6GHz on the T7200.
What that means in real life is faster app loading, smoother navigation, and better responsiveness on the T7250.
Graphics (GPU)
Both use the Mali G57 MP1, but the T7250 runs it at 850MHz vs the T7200’s 650MHz. In games like Free Fire, PUBG, eFootball mobile, or Dream League Soccer, this gives the T7250 a slight edge. It’s not a gaming monster, but it will handle gaming slightly better than the T7200 (T606).
Benchmarks
Numbers don’t lie, and here’s what the benchmark says:
- AnTuTu v10:
- T7250: ~263,000
- T7200: ~246,000
That’s a 7% boost in overall performance. In this price range, it’s not all that much but you need all the performance gains you can get. No matter how small it is.
RAM and Storage
The T7250 supports faster LPDDR4X RAM at 1866MHz and crucially, UFS 2.2 storage. If you’ve ever used a phone stuck on eMMC 5.1, you’ll know how sluggish app installs and updates can be. The UFS 2.2 support on the T7250 is a game-changer for cheap phones.
The Unisoc T7200 also support UFS 2.2 as well but it’s LPDDR4X RAM is much slower than that of the T7250.
Camera and Video
The T7250 can support up to 108MP cameras, while the T7200 maxes out at 24MP. In real-world photography, this doesn’t always mean much, especially with poor sensors and software processing. But on paper, the T7250 wins.
Both record 1080p videos at 30/60fps, so nothing to separate them there.
Display
The T7250 supports Full HD+ (1080p) screens, while the T7200 is locked to 720p. That makes a huge difference in visual sharpness. Affordable phones like the Itel S23, Itel City 100 and the Redmi A5 4G show how far Unisoc has come. A cheap phone with a 1080p display and UFS 2.2? Yes please.
Connectivity
Both SoCs are 4G-only, and they also both support LTE (Cat. 7) downloads, streaming, and browsing. The speed and ease of use will largely depend your network signal/connection.
Final Thoughts
The Unisoc T7250 is a slight upgrade over the older T7200. It’s got slightly faster CPUs and GPU, support for better RAM and storage, higher resolution displays and better camera support.
The T7200 (T606) had a good run—after all, it was one of the SoCs that helped Unisoc claw its way into relevance—but it’s time to step aside for its faster sibling.
TL;DR (Too Long; Didn’t Read)
The Unisoc T7250 wins this comparison comfortably. It’s not just newer—it’s better where it counts. If you’re shopping for a budget phone in 2024 or 2025, the T7250 is the one to pick. Just make sure the phone also has UFS storage and a good display to get the most out of it.
