The Realme C75 is the latest addition to Realme’s C-series lineup, aimed squarely at the budget/entry-level market. Released in 2024, the C75 follows the footsteps of the C67, promising even more durability and a bigger battery. Realme, a sub-brand of BBK Electronics (the same parent company behind Oppo, Vivo, and OnePlus), is positioning this phone as the “indestructible” option for budget buyers.
But under the flashy marketing, what does the Realme C75 really bring to the table? Is it truly rugged, or is it just another case of hype?

Body
The Realme C75 sticks to the basics with a plastic unibody construction. It weighs about 196g, which gives it a solid hand feel without being too heavy.
Realme touts it as “indestructible,” even showing cars driving over it in promotional videos — but don’t get carried away.
While the IP68 rating for water and dust resistance is legit (and a rare feature at this price), the over-the-top marketing stunts are mostly gimmicks. It’s rugged enough for daily use, but it’s not a military-grade device.
Display
On the front, you get a 6.72-inch IPS LCD panel with a 1080p resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It’s decently bright and colors look good for an LCD.
Realme has also added an Always-On Display (AOD) feature, which honestly doesn’t make much sense on an LCD screen. AOD is better suited for OLED panels where only specific pixels light up, not the whole backlight.
Overall though, it’s a respectable display for a budget phone.
OS
The Realme C75 runs Android 14 with Realme’s custom UI on top. It’s clean enough, with some pre-installed apps that can be uninstalled.
Realme UI keeps things fairly lightweight, but expect a few ads or recommendations popping up here and there.
SoC
Under the hood is the MediaTek Helio G92, which, if we’re being honest, is just a slightly rebranded Helio G85 from years ago.
Performance is exactly what you’d expect: decent for light tasks like browsing, WhatsApp, Instagram, and some casual gaming.
It pulls an AnTuTu score of around 250,000–260,000, meaning it’s fine for daily use, but not built for intensive gaming or heavy multitasking.
Cameras
On the camera front, the Realme C75 features a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP selfie shooter.
Photos in daylight come out nice and sharp with good colors. In low light, the performance drops off, with softer details and more noise — not surprising at this price point. Video recording is capped at 1080p 30fps on both front and rear cameras.
Again, it’s good enough for casual snaps and social media, but nothing groundbreaking.

Sounds
The Realme C75 is equipped with dual speakers. However, don’t be fooled — they aren’t true stereo speakers like on flagship devices.
There’s no 3.5mm headphone jack either, which is a bit disappointing for a budget phone where wired headphones are still popular. Sound quality is fine for watching videos and playing games, but don’t expect too much.
Connectivity
Connectivity is covered by the usual suspects:

Battery
One of the Realme C75’s strongest points is the battery. It packs a huge 6000mAh battery, backed by 45W fast charging. This combination easily gives you two days of moderate use.
Charging from 0 to 100% takes just over an hour, which is impressive given the battery size. Battery life is a major win for the C75.
Price
The 8GB RAM/256GB storage model starts at around ₦245,000. However, considering the specs and performance, it feels overpriced.
Realistically, this device should be sitting somewhere between ₦170,000 to ₦180,000. If you shop around, you might find 239K Jumia promo deal that make it a bit more reasonable.
Summary
The Realme C75 is a good budget device, but not the game-changer that marketing wants you to believe.
- Strengths: Solid display, huge battery, IP68 water resistance.
- Weaknesses: Mediocre performance for the price, recycled processor, and gimmicky durability claims.
If you can find it at a discount, it’s worth considering. Otherwise, you might want to look at alternatives like the Redmi Note 14 4G or the Itel P55 5G, which offer better value for your money.
