Mi 11 lite 4G, Mi 11 lite 5G and Mi 11i
In today’s post, we are going to take a look at three devices that seem to have flown under the radar. They are Mi 11 lite 4G, Mi 11 lite 5G, and Mi 11i.
On the 29th of March 2021, during Xiaomi’s mega launch event, a lot of devices were announced. 5 phones and a smart band. Two of these devices are the much-heralded Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra. These are flagship devices designed to take on and cement Xiaomi’s place amongst the world’s elite. These cost a pretty penny. So what about us then? Those of us who cannot afford flagships but are looking for a premium experience.

Well up steps Mi 11 lite 4G, Mi 11 lite 5G, and Mi 11i. These devices are consistent with Xiaomi’s desire to provide quality at affordable prices. So let’s quickly look through these devices.
Mi 11 lite 4G and Mi 11 lite 5G
The Mi 11 lite 4G and 5G both share identical specs save one. The only difference between them is the choice of processor used. The Mi 11 lite 4G uses a Snapdragon 732G paired with Adreno 618. The more expensive Mi 11 lite 5G uses a more powerful Snapdragon 780G paired with Adreno 642. LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage are present here.
Both devices come with a triple-camera setup. There is a 64MP Samsung GW3 main camera to handle photography here. The other two supporting cameras are an 8MP Ultrawide angle and a 5MP macro camera. Both phones can capture videos at resolutions of 4K (@30fps), 1080p (@30/60fps), and 720p(@60fps). Gyro-Electronic Image Stabilization (E.I.S.) is also fully supported.
Both devices sport identical 20MP selfie cameras. These are also very good. They support gyro-EIS and shoot videos at 1080p (@30/60fps).
The display is a 6.55” Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and support for displaying 1 billion colors. The pixel density is set at 402ppi and the max brightness is capped at 800 nits. It supports a 90Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling, and HDR10. The display is protected by a Gorilla Glass 6.
The battery is a decent 4250mAh and it supports 30W fast charging (0 – 100% in 52 mins) and a 33W charger is supplied in the box. Both devices are Q.C 4.0+ and USB PD 3.0 certified.
The phone ships with MIUI 12 on Android 11 and has a USB-C port but no headphone jack. To compensate, however, there are dual speakers (top and bottom). At 157g, this phone is ultrathin and light. There is IP53 protection for splash and dust resistance. The pricing for the Mi 11 lite 4G starts from €299 and the Mi 11 lite 5G starts from €363.
Mi 11i
The Mi 11i is the premium device in this line-up. This device is of flagship killer status. It is powered by the new and powerful Snapdragon 888 5G paired with Adreno 660. LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage are present here. This SoC is currently the best in the world.
This device also comes with a triple-camera setup. The 108MP Samsung S5KHM2 main camera is one of the selling points of this device. The other cameras are an 8MP Ultrawide angle and a 5MP macro camera. This device can capture videos at resolutions of 8K(@30fps), 4K(@30/60fps), 1080p (@30/60fps), and 720p(@60fps). Gyro-Electronic Image Stabilization (E.I.S.) is also fully supported.
The Mi 11i sports a 20MP selfie camera. It takes good selfies, supports gyro-EIS, and shoot videos at 1080p (@30/60fps).
The display is a 6.67” Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, a pixel density of 395ppi, and 1300 nit of max brightness.
It supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling, and HDR10+. The display is protected by a Gorilla Glass 5.
The battery is a huge 4250mAh and it supports 30W fast charging (0 – 100% in 52mins). On this device, however, the fast charge technology is slightly downgraded to Q.C 3.0.
The phone ships with MIUI 12 on Android 11 and has a USB-C port and stereo speakers. The 3.5mm headphone jack is missing here. The phone weighs a decent 196g. There is IP53 protection for splash and dust resistance.
