Unlike some other IEMs, the cables of the QKZ AK6 are permanently attached to the IEM. The 1.2-meter cable contains a multifunctional button and a volume slider. It also contains a mic.

The IEM itself has a single-firing 10mm dynamic driver that provides the audio. My unit is transparent so you can see the big driver in there.

QKZ AK6 review

The QKZ AK6 offers really good sound details which is very interesting considering its price point. Whilst the sound is good, it is not very clean but this is fair considering the price point.

As soon as you put it on, you can immediately the bass output vibrate through your head. It’s very pronounced, especially for songs with heavy beats like Afro-pop. The mid tones sound okay and whilst the highs are good, they can get drowned out if the bass is too heavy.

To equal things out, I would advise that you make use of a music player with an equalizer to even things out. However, if you are a bass person, this is perfect for you.

When it comes to gaming, especially for Battle Royale shooters like PUBG, you’ll love this one. This IEM offers a lot of detail and sound immersion that you will not get from generic earbuds and earphones.

It is also very comfortable to use and you would not suffer from any form of hearing fatigue. It also provides passive noise cancelation (sound isolation) that helps you shut the world out.

The only downsides of this IEM are that the cables are not detachable and the sound is not 100% clean. Also, take care not to blow out your eardrums as they’re loud especially when paired with an equalizer.

Conclusion

The QKZ AK6 is a very nice IEM to have and a good place to step into the world of IEMs. You can’t go wrong with this one.

You can pick one up from AliExpress but if you like in Nigeria, you can order it easily from HorlarJay stores.

With that, we’ve come to the end of this QKZ AK6 review.
